The Adventure Goes Outdoors
For the past 12 months I have been shooting at Crystal Palace Bowmen in Beckenham. As much as I like 2020Archery they are purely indoors. I felt that it was time to venture outdoors and see what the hoo-ha was all about.
So myself and The Ageing Archer popped along and ... well you can read all about it in a previous port. But let's just say we're still there and enjoying ourselves.
If you're looking to take your archery world outdoors then I recommend giving Crystal Palace Bowmen a try. Unlike some outdoor clubs, they can supply you with club bows and arrows until you are ready to purchase your own. The members are good folk who will just as easily spend the whole session shooting the breeze instead of shooting arrows. If you need some coaching then there are qualified coaches on hand. Just watch out for the one called Mark. Give him half a chance and he'll apply his own patent torture device!!!!
